More Than Beauty

The contemporary-art magazine ART AGENT featured Art Liard in its 21st issue (2025), in a profile titled 'More Than Beauty' devoted to her plein-air practice and the quiet dialogue between people and nature.

In its 21st issue (2025), the contemporary-art magazine ART AGENT — a Russian publication dedicated to promoting working artists, edited by Dmitry Lyashchenko — devoted a feature to Art Liard under the title More Than Beauty. The issue gathered forty-three artists around a single question: what is contemporary art today?

The profile traced how Liard's spontaneous plein-air sketches grow into finished paintings, discussing works such as Two Wings of Fate (Raven and Dove), Silent Waters (Breath of a Mountain Lake), The Guard of the Forest Mystery (Still Life with a Crow) and Beetles and the Riddle of Lost Time (Insects). For Liard, the magazine wrote, art is "a way of mindfully making sense of the world," where sincerity and quiet attention matter more than concepts and loud gestures.

Art Liard turns her first sketches into vivid paintings, celebrating the exquisite beauty of nature, the character of animals and the complexity of the portrait — striving to convey the fragile balance of life and the quiet dialogue between humanity and the environment.

The artist's own words closed the piece: "I dream that my paintings will find a response in every heart."
