Terms of Sale

The terms that apply when you purchase an artwork through this website.

Last updated: 6 June 2026

These Terms of Sale apply to purchases of original artworks and prints made through this website, operated by Art Liard. Please read them before placing an order. By completing a purchase you agree to these terms.

1. The artwork

Each original is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece and is sold as a single item. Editions and prints are sold in the quantities stated on the artwork page. Colours and details shown on screen may vary slightly from the original due to photography and display differences. Sizes are approximate.

2. Orders & acceptance

Placing an order and completing payment constitutes an offer to buy. A contract of sale is formed once we confirm the order. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order (for example, if an item is no longer available or a pricing error has occurred), in which case any payment is refunded in full.

3. Prices & payment

Prices are shown on each artwork page. Payment is processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Depending on your location, the amount may be presented and charged in your local currency at checkout. Any taxes, customs duties or import charges that apply in the destination country are the buyer's responsibility.

4. Shipping & delivery

Shipping options and costs are shown at checkout. Works are carefully packed and dispatched after payment has cleared. Delivery estimates are indicative and not guaranteed. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. Please inspect your artwork on arrival and report any damage to us promptly (see section 6).

5. Right to cancel (consumers)

If you are a consumer buying at a distance, you may have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the artwork, without giving a reason. To cancel, contact us using the details below. You must return the item in its original condition; the cost of return shipping is your responsibility, and we recommend using a tracked, insured service. Once we receive the returned artwork in its original condition, we will refund the price paid.

This right does not apply to items that are made to your specifications or clearly personalised (for example, commissioned works).

6. Damaged or faulty items

If your artwork arrives damaged or is not as described, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photographs. We will arrange a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate. This does not affect your statutory rights.

7. Authenticity & copyright

Where indicated, works are signed by the artist and supplied with a certificate of authenticity. Purchase of an artwork transfers ownership of the physical piece only. The artist retains all copyright and reproduction rights; the work may not be reproduced or used commercially without written permission.
