Painter & Visual Artist
About the Artist
About me
I am a visual artist whose work reflects a deep connection to the natural world, exploring the subtle interplay between nature, wildlife, plant life and landscape. My art practice is based on plein air sketches, where the immediacy of pencil drawing allows me to capture fleeting moments with authenticity and emotional depth. These initial sketches evolve into vibrant paintings that celebrate the exquisite beauty of nature, the character of animals and the quiet life of plants. Through each stroke, I strive to convey the delicate balance of life and the quiet dialogue between living things and their environment: art can never be indifferent — it touches the soul and stirs something deep within. I dream that my paintings will resonate in every heart, reflecting something personal, something intimate. Each viewer will see something of their own — a feeling, a memory, a quiet thought. Art is more than just beauty; it is a gentle force that brings light, warmth and happiness into people’s lives.
My work moves between coast and highland, chasing the way light falls across water, stone and weather. Each painting begins outdoors and is finished in the studio, where memory and observation meet.
