Rose still lifes at G Gallery
Four compact canvases sit in a tight group on the G Gallery wall. Each painting holds a rose in a glass bottle — a close still life, not a bouquet. They belong to the same rose cycle as In Full Bloom and to the wider Chronicles of Matter series, in which a flower is followed from bud to fullness and into the first softening of fade. Thick, almost sculptural paint gives the petals weight and a slow sense of time.
The roses stand as symbols of beauty, time, and vulnerability.

Installation and the stand
Before the doors open, the Art Liard label is set above the four roses. The clips below show that hang and a short view of the G Gallery wall. Faces stay out of frame; the paintings stay in view.
From outdoor sketches to the studio
Liard often begins outdoors. A plein-air sketch holds light, weather, or the stillness of a place; the studio then builds that first note into layered paint. Still life, in this practice, is not a pause from landscape but another way of watching matter change. The Paris hang is a small, concentrated statement of that method.
