This drawing depicts a scene from the life of a small world of insects. Two beetles are in the center of attention: one of them is large, with a smooth blue-violet shell, shimmering with different shades, and the other is smaller, but no less expressive, with a bright red body and yellow stripes on the back. They look at each other, as if they have started a silent conversation or a meeting full of hidden meaning. Green grass grows around the beetles, among which there are thin stems, leaves and small flowers. It seems that the wind gently sways them, giving the picture dynamics. But the most mysterious detail is a small open box, reminiscent of an old chest or a matchbox. This object creates a sense of mystery, as if before us are traces of something lost, important for the world of insects. The whole scene conveys a sense of natural harmony, but at the same time raises questions: what are the beetles talking about? What do these golden grains mean? The story remains unsaid, but that makes it all the more compelling.
